Renovation and Extension of Existing Residence, Geelong Victoria.

The existing home was designed and built in the 1940's and had a unique 'Y' shaped layout that capitalised on the natural attributes of the site.

The client brief required that the existing floor plan and overall integrity of the house be maintained to a large degree but the inside be significantly renovated and modernised and a second storey added.

The design included re-arranging the ground floor plan, adding 4 new bedrooms and 2 bathrooms upstairs. The resulting design also includes a two storey lounge space with mezzanine library area, a Tatami Room and japanese bath in the ensuite.

The outside was also transformed to include a full length lap pool and a number of entertaining areas and landscaping. A 3d model was completed for the client during the design process to help them visualise the finished house and assist with detailed design decisions along the way.
